The Robot Apocalypse is closer than you think

I think you also need to lookup how a jet engine works, its a tad more complicated then just burning jet fuel.

No, for stability in horizontal flight.

Give it up, Derv.

Edit: 4 horizontal fins? What the hell are you talking about?

Derv, your posts are so stupid that they simply do not deserve a serious answer. While there is plenty of material that can lead to a conspiracy discussion (I could for example very well imagine that some of the pictures from the moon landing were faked), your points are simply ridiculous.

You have added so little value and trolled so much on the forum the last weeks that you managed to get on my ignore list. Any plans to not just post rubbish in the off-topic area?

Not to mention Mechanics 101.

Really? I always wondered why Kamovs never fall out of the sky due to the lack of large fins.

On EF, No-One Can Hear You Scream.

.

There definitely are 4 fins on that aircraft.

You cam do with just wings and a rudder on a plane e.g. Mirage

Ah glad you pointed that out, I was a bit worried all those 747's would start falling from the sky, and I work under the flight path

You can also do without a rudder. Your point being?

On EF, evil loves to party...

I don't think Dervaish has had a point, or a clue, for some time now.

You're wrong, my posts generate quite enthusiastic responses

Im not talking about fake pics etc, which I dont know about. Just what I know i.e. till today vertically landing and take off of Rocket like objects is still in experimental stages.

P.S. Im not liked very much around here, now am I

Ofcourse you can, are we arguing about that?

I'm very surprised your knowledge and skills haven't been snapped up

already by the aerospace industry... Stay close to the phone, that

would be my recommendation!!!

.

Nope. We were trying to understand from you how short (i.e. low momentum) fins are to provide any stability with zero airflow to generate significant control forces. Please carry on on that subject.

Ssshhhhh, don't tell anyone else, but helicopters don't have rudders.

Just our little secret, OK?!?!?

.

Feeeeckkkk !!! You guys have been taking me for a Ride!!!

I didnt read about the XYF Pogo Convair, just saw the pics and took it for face value!!

Here... quoting from wikipedia!!

Pogo's lightweight design, and the lack of spoilers and air brakes, the aircraft lacked the ability to slow down and stop efficiently after moving at high speeds. Landing was also a problem, as the pilot had to look back behind himself during a landing to properly stabilize the craft. Due to these problems, the XFY Project was put on hiatus.

Although a test flight was made on 19 May 1955 , it again ended with failure, and on 1 August 1955 , the project formally concluded. The last flight of the Pogo took place in November 1956.

It was a FAILURE!!!

Judging by the number of ICBM's scattered around the globe, i'd say it's a pretty damn big experiment.

Can we please get the thread back to robots/skynet/terminators?

Everybody, please repeat:

"I will not feed the troll anymore..."

Ok, I will start :

"The United States must demonstrate that it is not randomly killing people in violation of international law through its use of unmanned drones on the Afghan border, a U.N. rights investigator said on Tuesday."

Ah so the fins don't cancel torque? My whole creed is shattered.

Yes, too many fins, apparently
