To save ourselves from running this marathon of countless posting on dating, Can we have a dating section on the EF?
Im a big fan of not over-analyzing the whole dating thing... its best to take it as it comes and go with the flow rather than make big "action lists" like that. It just seems a bit contrived and un-natural.
Might be a good section to write one's experiences, both negative and positive... I presume the mods might think it fits in the "social" thread..
Also, who knows, questions might be fittingly answered, like the film "he's just not into you"... why why why why oh why!!?? we could all learn summit here ye know
Yes, BUT one can save oneself an awful lot of "oh sh1t, yuck" if one is just a tad informed, although to some extent I agree with you, I am not into smokers at all and am currently seeing one.. God, I do hope no-one puts that into "desparate" ... man, I really should be more consequent, BUT he's British and has many other talents, so what can a girl do!!??
Find a Brit who doesn't smoke
More difficult to find a Swiss who doesn't smoke!! I just cannot believe that we live in one of the last countries in "europe" who hasn't yet brought in a complete ban on the things... and yes, no need to list all those who haven't done it yet, I know... still, I reckon some of the African tribes will bring it in before Switzerland
This thread about Dating not smoking
Ok to keep everyone happy, let's talk about non-smokers dating scene in Switzerland.
Only 30% of the Swiss smoke. That still leaves you the other 70%

Well my my my, havnt I generated some very interesting and intriguing banter! It seems as though we all find the dating scene, or lack thereof, a hot topic. Now dont get my wrong, Im not saying the Swiss arnt wild with their swinging briefcases and black on black...on black on black over layers, but I agree that once the conversation veers from yourself, the crickets start to chirp. And even once you do receive your Swiss Dating Visa B, (maybe I should start to apply now since it will take 6.8 months to be approved, Gwendy we must take note) I will have to buy a lanyard to wear it to let ALL prospective accountants know they CAN come up for coffee after dinner...s'il vous plait?
Now an update on brown boat shoes, the masculine specimen in the boat harbour: Winked at me. WINKED. While I casually walked by with my dog (when I indeed yanked the dog out of the house, rushed around the corner and then began a semblance of a luscious sashay) So indeed as we thought, he is definitely NOT swiss. Swiss men dont WINK. They get something in their eyes and thats as far as it goes.
Unless Ms Gwendy is targeting the entire Swiss population, that would be incorrect. If the 30% largely comprise the population of handsome single men in and around Pfäffikon, it would be in fact bad news.
Can you be 100% sure he did not wink at the dog?
Ha, good thread,
Actually from my experience, Zürich is full of single people. And at least half of them are expats. You can se that in clubs.
However, the posh clubbing scene made me tired at some point.
And I admit - EF events and others help in getting to know good friends and not only
Have a good day,
k
We cannot be too sure, it is definitely a possibility. I must say she is a VERY attractive bit... lady dog. Very shiny coat, good healthy teeth, perk ears. Come to think of it now, her sashaying was much more seductive than mine...
On putting this statement in the "mathematical statement analysis software" I got following result : Man = dog.
Is that what you mean?
Unfortunately for me K I live in Montreux which is, alas, quite a ways from the single dating scene of Zurich. Maybe I will start my own dating scene here in Montreux. With all that sashaying I've been doing lately I could start a class.
Montreux, thts where all of us should be heading now
... no wonder, look at the flourishing divorce scene there !!!
