When this new plan comes then any older people or people using walking sticks etc have to walk through or under the main station from Sihlquai to Bahnhofstrasse (and the reverse). For the 13 tram and 4 tram.And thats not 100 Metres. But then the state Zurich could not give a shit about this. They just want to keep the building work going for 1 year ,what they could do in a couple of months! Its all for money kickbacks! To pad the bank linings of these building companies.

It’s a )(**&^%$$%^& !!! This morning, I was looking forward to my 35 min sleepy tram ride, followed by 5 min bus ride … Well, Lady Luck made other plans for me.
For the next 9 months, I’m stuck with Tram->Bus->Bus, with stopover-Hell at HB, dealing with nightmare number of people at the Bahnhofstrasse tram stop …
I used to get on the tram at a much less crowded mornings/evening stops, easily take the seat at the back of the tram, throw my backpack on the end, not take up and extra seat, go through HB without batting an eye, catch up on the beauty nap for 35 mins … it’s over for the next 9 months … I now have to change at major hubs during rush hour … And now it adds another 20 mins to my journey each way …
Sigh! Rant over folks …
1 year just to renovate a tram stop! The Zurich arsehole politicians! Getting their kick back .
