The Tram chaos in Zurich

Soon all the numbers and routes will change. What a disaster Zurich is.

not to resurrect another thread here, but noticed that this page is only in DE and Eng.

I love it
“During rush hour, line 13 runs through Bahnhofstrasse every 3.75 minutes to increase capacity there. Consequently, line 4 also runs every 3.75 minutes during rush hour.”

I’m tempted to go check that, I mean 3.75minutes, specially the .75! No matter how many need to go off/on? Or will it be “sorry, no time for you to get on, the next is right behind this one”? And they must have an enormous tram fleet.

So so! Should they leave everything the way it is and let things fall apart?

Going back to a recent thread on SuperSaver CFF tickets. Make sure you are on the right Tram, not the one 3.75 minutes earlier or the one 3.75 minutes later!

Where do you get that 3.75 minutes thing? From the tram schedule its every 7-8 minutes.

I copied it from the VBZ link somewhere (and I think I ran it through deepl for you folks) but I can’t find it anymore.
But it is mentioned here as well. And the same goes for Tram 4.

I know you will pin them down on that, can’t wait for your report

Thanks. Yes one must get the bankers home on time. They go to bed at 6 pm after snorting some koks.

And 3.75 is really 4.15. So dumb is the VBZ.

I think that 3.75 is 3:45.

Must be new Math

I am working for a Swiss company and that’s how we populate our excel timesheet (8:75 = 8:45 every 0.25 counts as 15 minutes).

to be honest, I do that too.

But it was funny to see it on a time table for trams. Very Swissy … although I wouldn’t really be surprised if the managed to keep it too

These slippery tram seats on the new tram are really annoying.Do I have to always carry an anti- slip mat!!

Don’t your feet reach the floor?

Choose a seat facing the rear of the tram. The most common sudden move is a stop, so if you’re facing the other way you probably won’t fall out of your seat.

Sitting in the opposie direction is almost worse. One still slips on these dumb seats. Having ones feet on the floor does not help. And they are like a cool box in Winter!

Trams are hardly on time in Zurich these days, punctuality has been deteriorating. But with my experience its just 1 or 2 mins delay mostly during rush hours, so nothing really to complain about, as we can all live with such small delays.

Im thinking of taking my non slip mat with me.
