Thermal Baths / Spa Hotel near Zurich

I'd recommend taking a look at this town in Germany, only a couple of hours away from Zurich. We spent a weekend there a couple of years ago and very much enjoyed it. https://www.badenweiler.de/en

RigiKaltbad on the queen of mountains

65 Minutes from Zurich and at 1500 metres, walk up or take the train/cable car - fantastic Alp views, designed by Mario Botta reopened in 2012:

Agreed, we love Lavey- but from Zurich? Leukerbad/Loèche-les-Bains would be a lot more accessible.

This is exactly what you are looking for:

He did say 2-3 hours drive and Lavey is 2.5.

Ive been to Leukerbad. Its tiny and nothing special at all. The village is nice though

Hotel Lenkerhof - not a thermal bath as such but pool with a view, great spa area and great setting.

Where is that Kittster? Lenk?

For Leukerbad- the good thing there is that there are 2 main spas- the municipal one and the one linked to the Hôtel Alpentherme- both very different- + a handful of smaller ones all around town- so you can go to different one during your stay. Taking the Lötschberg tunnel makes it very easy access from ZH.

Lavey is indeed great, at the other end of the Rhône Valley. And so is Saillon- we visited recently and were so pleasantly surprised at our the facilities had been hugely improved. And our favourite is Ovronnaz, but again not great access from ZH.

Also seconding Lavey.

Bad Zurzach is less than an hour from Zurich and is my personal fave. Not too expensive and good facilities, especially saunas. There is a hotel, but I've never stayed there so I wouldn't know too much about it.

I know this question was posted a while ago, but perhaps it is still of interested to some.

I can highly recommend this place. I've been here a few times and was never disappointing. It has everything OP was inquiring about.

It is great, but on the pricier side of things!

Can you share any thoughts on the restaurants or dining options?

They have a nice (not amazing, but good) restaurant on the terrace overlooking the Zürisee - great for a meal and a drink as the sun goes down. The breakfast buffet was also overlooking the lake (but inside) and had a great selection, as well as plenty of bubbles coming to the table, if that's what you were after!

Pricier? Had you already a look into the Bürgenstock resort ?

I've stayed there.

The food was pretty mediocre. The whole place had a bit of a 'business conference hotel' feel to it.

The spa is okay

Good points is that view is nice and it's close to Zurich if that's important but there are much better places further afield in Switzerland.
