Ticket Corner

I bought 2 tix on 12 January for a concert in Lausanne on 17 February 2022 from Ticket corner.

I have just been informned the concert is now "delayed" no doubt due ot Covid or whatever until 02 March 2023 , a full 13 months later.

Does anybody know if their is a "cooling off" period for tixs bought via internet and if so, for how long ?

Just ask them for a refund due to the extreme delay, this kind of stuff has happened all through the pandemic.

That would be too easy Chuff, refunds are exclued in the terms and conditions.

They are covered under certain conditions by the insurance we took out, with Ticket Corner but thy are fairly restrictive of course.

What i am doing next week i don't know, let alone March 2023 !!

I can try a chargeback but i was just wondering whether anybody knew definately whether their is a cooling off period for internet sales.

Hmm do the T&C's say that refunds are excluded in EVERY scenario, even if the event is delayed by such a large time? Have you actually asked them first to see what they say or are you just assuming there is no chance of a refund?

Yeah, they do say that refunds are excluded for any sort of event that is outside the responsibility of the organizer. As in "global pandemic". I have a stack of tickets that have been moved for a year or more, some twice by now. Simply put: dont by concert tickets unless you are willing to play the covid game... its a lottery with unknown dates...

It is more than clearly stated in their email announcing the delay !!

The promoter of this event has informed us that the event has changed and shall now take place as follows:

The tickets you have booked remain valid for the postponed date and/or a new venue and cannot be returned.

If you have taken out ticket protection insurance and are prevented from travelling on the new date for reasons known and insured in advance, you will receive a refund of the ticket price, unless the organiser excludes a refund. Please contact our insurance partner https://www.erv.ch/de/partner/netzwe...ode=4175ZdO9fi directly, stating the reason for your inability to attend.

If you have not taken out ticket protection insurance with us, please check whether one of your other insurance policies (e.g. travel or household insurance) covers the cancellation.

If you have not taken out insurance and are prevented from travelling on the new date, we recommend that you use Ticketcorner's secure resale platform fanSALE www.fansale.ch .

Yep, same here.

In theory my tickets are valid for May this year but they have been postponed twice already, the original tickets were for June 2020.

Son’s tickets for a concert in March have been postponed to an unknown date, whether it suits him or not is a lottery.

This i am aware of, but the question is not really that but whether their is a cooling off period for internet sales and if so for how long, it would need to be 14 days to be of any use to me

oops dp

I was refunded for my COVID delayed event tickets in 2020 so maybe the policy has changed since then.

If all else fails you could do a chargeback on your credit card (can be done within 30 days) and then Ticketcorner has to deal with your bank instead of you.

In October 2019 I bought a ticket to Elton John show in Oct 2020, which was then rescheduled to Oct 2021 and now rescheduled again to July 2023. From time to time I check in my head that I still remember on which shelf and in which folder the ticket is stored.

And whether the singer will still be alive next year

Have the same, 2 concerts that keep on getting pushed back....2 times already. let's see if this year they happen.

We have had tickets to go and see Trevor Noah in June 2 years ago, and the gig was cancelled again last year. It is re-scheduled for Tuesday 17th of May- and it is not very convenient at all, Neither for us or the friends joining us. But hey ho- we have never asked for refunds and we wanted to support the entertainment industry. It will mean the extra expense in a Hôtel as we leave the next day early for a trip around Easter nEurope- but hey ho. Let's hope it doesn't get cancelled again!

Already done !
