Tickets for FC Basel

I've just moved to Basel, and my Dad & brother are coming out in September, and we fancy going to watch a match. Looking at the fixture list, Basel are playing at home to Sion the weekend they are here.

How difficult is to get tickets for a match? Do they sell out? As I say, only just moved here so don't know a huge amount about Swiss football crowds.

Do you need to be signed up as a member/register on the website prior to buying them, or could be turn up on the day?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, not long here in Basel myself - went to the first game of the season but bought my ticket from the club shop a day before the game. Was easy enough, and cost 20 C Swiss f for the ticket to stand with the ultras!

Also going to see the CL game this evening, again bought my ticket early, cost 24 Swiss F for a seat behind the goals.

So far it doesnt look too hard to get a ticket, they are very helpful in the club shop (outside the stadium), and I dont think they sell out too often.

As for the ultras - sing a lot and cheer but its all very coordinated and not nearly as mad as what you would expect back home or in the UK. Strong smell of the funny fags all around as well! But at least you can watch the game with a beer at hand which is always a bonus!

Give me a shout if you are going to a game, as i try to at least get to one game a week if I can!

Thanks, thats very helpful, and much appreciated.

I'll try getting some tickets a day or two before then.

Will definitely let you know about meeting up for matches. If it's only around 20CHF for a ticket, then I'll probably try getting to a few over the course of the season.

Hoping they get in to the CL group stages, as then they will get at least 1 big team coming to visit.

I've bought tickets in Internet through FCB's page, it's easy and they send them via Post. Only very important matches get sold out.

24 the cheapest league ticket actually (sorry)

CL game last night - only 12,000 at it in a stadium of 40,000 (I think). Not a bad game, and even though its only 1-0 Basel still should get through.

if all goes well and they do get into the CL group stage - then they could draw Manure Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona or Celtic - which would all be great fun in the town

Forgot to mention that your match ticket entitles you to free travel around the city 3 hours before, 3 hours after the game.

Hey guys, I'm a football fan myself and if you organise to meet up for a FC Basel football match, I wouldn't mind joining you

Also, are there any Juventini in Basel?

How about buying online like Club official site. How many days should we buy before the game ?

If you buy from the official ticketing site or Starticket then you can buy until the last minute and print your own ticket.

Or buy directly from one of the many Starticket agents

Hey guys, I'll be new too in July and would love to head to a few games too if you are still going down there. I'd also love to watch some weekend football if there are some good places that show it (Not sure where we will be living yet but am also keen to try to join a 5 or 7 aside football league if possible too?) Anyway, look forward to hearing back from you when you have a moment, cheers!

Anyone going next week CL match with ManU?
