Tips for notime/similar couriers

Hi all,

I wanted to know if any of you gives tips to courier services like notime.

I am used to give tips to drivers of Uber Eats and Eat.ch, but never gave a tip to a notime courier. Am I the only one?

Anyone who tips in Switzerland doesn’t know that service is compris.

Not true. I tip good service and all people around me do to.

The only places I would not tip would be the kind of McDonalds & Co. They're okay with that as they've not met me.

But notime seems to be a delivery service for parcels and no I don't tip those or the post. I know a postman would be surprised if you tried, not even sure if he's allowed to accept.

OP, to tip or not is your choice. It is not a must in this country but if you're pleased you might as well show it, is my mo.

People in Switzerland earn their salaries from their employers, not from their employer’s customers.

All Restaurant prices have 15% service included. If you leave something extra it’s as likely to go to the patron than the server.

And why tip just the server? The cook and the cleaning staff, etc. also contributed.

There was a time, back when CH was almost perfect, that it was normal to invite the postman in for a cup of coffee.

But like all good fairy tales its basically history.

Regretfully they are now under strict time constraints. They are pushed to finish their rounds within a specific time. But they still have a smile.
