TOGAF 9.1 Certification course

I have registered @ The Knowledge Academy for a TOGAF course that normally goes for CHF 4k for 4 days. The sale price is 1600 CHF, but so far I'm the only one and they said the course will only run with 4 participants as a minimum requirement. BTW this also includes a test voucher at Prometric.

I'm posting this in the employment section as this is mostly interesting for IT professionals. Would anyone else be interested in this course as well for the price? Need 3 more 'volunteers', and yes, they can invoice your company as well.

After having transferred the money just last week, I've now received the following email.

I had them confirm the course about 3 times before I signed up. Maybe the whole company is just a scam?!?

It's very peculiar so far.

Wow, you jump to conclusions quickly.

It is only a scam if you tell them you cannot attend other dates and they will not refund you the money, or if they keep you on the hook for a long period.

Up to now it is a company who inform you properly and offer alternatives.

seems to be a pattern since 2013:

- candidate pays a discounted rate

- they cancel 5-10 days before the course were to start

- they offer alternatives in the other end of Switzerland or they defer you to virtual or online learning

For this course I got a definitive commitment from them 3 months ago, that the course is booked and it's happening - and now they stated that they "could not get enough interest"... this is shady at least.

I've now stated twice I want my money back, so we'll see what happens.
