Come on. Radelaide is awesome. Apart from being full of bogans
But it has coopers and is close to 3 world class wine regions. What more do ya want?
Listen...if you want, we can do this all year long...I'm stupid as f*** when it comes to being hard headed...keep wearing your pink shades..I for that matter, chose to look beyond what is being fed to me and question certain things. There are certain detrimental criterias which should be taken into account and which clerly aren't done so in the Mercer studies for quality of living. I believe too much value is based on the financial market and lesser value in the actual quality of the city.
I see Auckland is 4th equal.
Not South Auckland..

I am sure everyone looks beyond and questions. Hence our discussion.
How do you know your criteria were not taken into account ? How is this clear to you ?
I also find it amusing how Bern is on 9th place..way ahead of the likes of Amsterdam, Toronto, Tokyo, Singapore...etc.
did Einstein live in any of those cities?
..because Zurich doesn't have opening hours and thus clearly diminuishes the ability to provide goods and services....Zurich's housing market doesn't need any explanation...urban polution (general littering and graffities)...etc. those little things that rgeatly affect us little people if compared to other cities one must recognize that they are severly lacking...and that it how I come to the conclusion that they have not been taken into account.
Well not all of us are young thrusters like you - we like a sedate atmosphere, quiet after 21:59, being admired for our good taste and only having the higherst quality food in our supermarkets.
..what do you know about quality? I work with buyers from a Swiss retail chain...our product are the same as everywhere else...on the contrary...fresh products are probably inferior as they need to be shipped half way across Europe.
It's also interesting how 4 of the top 10 ranked Eco-Cities are North American.....
You think Zürich has a litter and graffiti problem?
Errr, every shop in Zurich has opening hours ??? Maybe I am missing something here, could you re-phrase ?
I have lived all over , and travelled all over the world, I find Zurich to be one of the cleanest.
These are very minor issues and easy to work around, how on Earth are they making your life a misery ? I don't doubt your sincerity - where would you like to live that is better, and why ?
..it's not a problem, but a 2nd ranked city ought not look like Zurich.
You think it ought to have less litter and graffiti?
I don't think I've visited a major city with less . . .
The positionings are relative, Zurich (107.9) being compared to New York (100). Which City has more grafitti ?
...yeah, certainly they do...jsut very limited ones though.
..I have also lived all over; also in cities which didn't make the list at all...and most of those places were cleaner.
..they don't make my life a misery, as I don't live in Zurich..I just disagree that Zurich is way up there...as far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't even be included in the study...
..yeah but population and area size aren't taken into account and thus I would go as far as saying that Zurich has relatively more graffity and littering than New York City.
I've been living in Switzerland for longer than you have - I have been inducted into the Swiss way of life of course I know more about quality than you do.
