Trading standards or similar

Anyone know of or had experience from a trading standards type of organisation here? I have had a plasterer doing external work for me, only a small job 6k chf...he said 10 days and its now approaching the 10th week....I have today fired him for not completing the work and not showing up.

I paid him an interim sum of money for when he did do some work, since them he has showed his face for less than an hour after I gave him a 10 notice period to complete.....left the place in a mess and some of his gear behind...

Obviously I have informed him that no further payments are being made to him and he doesn't reply to emails except when he lies saying he'll 'do his all tomorrow'

I can do most work myself and intend to finish what they have started.....any thoughts?

What does it say in your contract? That is what it will come down to.
