It is known that for a "normal" traffic light, you are expected to clear the whole intersection before it gets red (+ 0.5 seconds tolerance?). What about traffic lights set up in a street that has temporarily become partially one-sided for construction? The one-sided stretch may span a few hundred metres. Are we still (at least technically) expected to leave the whole stretch before the traffic behind us becomes red?
They have red and flashing yellow here but not green. Flashing amber means go as long as it is clear to do so.
There is definitely a time during which both sides are red to allow time for the traffic in one direction to clear before letting the other direction go.
