Transfer funds from E*Trade to Interactive Brokers

I'd be selling some ESPP US shares through E*Trade, then aiming to get the outcome in my IB account, where I'd use it to buy US shares.

I'd be thinking at wiring E*Trade to my CH USD account and then move the money to IB. I know, there'd be some fees here and there, like the E*Trade flat 25$ and possibly some to credit the amount in the CH bank and possibly in IB too.

I can't transfer my ESPP shares out of E*Trade, due to limitations in imposed by this specific ESPP, meaning that I'm required to sell them through E*Trade.

Any suggestion?

You have 2 ways:

1. Sell and transfer cash

2. Transfer shares to IB and sell there

Apologies, I forgot to mention that I can't transfer these shares. Iupdated the post.

Right, I'm exactly trying to find out the best way to transfer cash to IB.

I'm not sure I wire my IB account from E*Trade to IB. Are you referring to this? Any direct experience with that?

not with etrade but i transferred cash directly from schwab to IB. you could also transfer via bank account if easier.

I think you can help yourself a little more by doing some basic research... https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=1382

Thank you for the hint. I'd already helped myself in that regard.

I was looking for specific advises pertinent to E*Trade to IB transfers.
