Trip Cancelation insurance recommendations

Hi,

Does anyone have recommendations for good trip cancelation insurance provider?

We are looking for an insurance as we have a lot of impending expensive travel planned this year, and we want to feel more confident and safer while making those bookings. We don't need the "assistance" part of travel insurance as we already get that from the employer.

My current candidates are:

1) AXA trip cancelation insurance

2) Generali trip cancelation insurance

Does anyone have any opinion about this? Or another recommendation which is better?

I've had good experience with AXA Intertours although not regarding cancellation. Everything done quick and easy online. No needing to speak to someone with a strong Swiss-German accent on the telephone as is the case with Zurich.

We're also with AXA for all our insurances. Very efficient and pay out promptly.

We were with AXA and happy and switched to TCS Livret ETI during COVID times as their coverage was better then. Then got lazy and never switched back.

Generally happy with Axa - just did a claim with TCS and let's see how they fare.

AXA’s great, (see other post ) but we switched to Allianz last year for other reasons…

I did it with UBS, through the (Mastercard) credit card

Been with Axa for a long time and used them on several occasions. Never any issues.

My car broke down at Baden Baden. They arranged for a taxi to take us home and a breakdown recovery service to take the car to our normal garage for repair. What was great is that I received an update about every 30 minutes (with English speaking operatives) about what was happening, so we felt we were not alone.

Yes, usually for breakdowns.

We have our policy with Allianz and they’ve been excellent.

We are with Allianz Travel, as their top option covers medical costs including pandemics. We were previously with AXA who had no medical cost coverage.
