TRSF table

Yes, and the bill adds up perfectly to 294 if you don’t include that 43. Looks like it’s a subtotal for sure. No idea what the TRSF stands for, though.

Likely a Transfer from one server’s account (Clemant) to another. Bookkeeping stuff.

Indeed, if the rightmost numbers are added, the total is 359. Do not include VAT and TRSF in the addition and it sums 294. So, all good.

Overall, it seems like a poorly designed receipt for the customer. Instead of clearly communicating the info, it confuses customers :confused:

That’s exactly it, likely two different servers.
TRSF is shorthand for transfert.

Well, there you go. Weird way of doing things though. If you’re going to do part of the bill that way, why not all of it? :crazy_face:

Some sort of internal bookkeeping stuff I guess. Specific to their dessert menu as they were all dessert items.

Thanks all. EF comes up with the answer once again.

Might be, because some restaurants are not making their own desserts and have contracts with other producers (weird, I know).

Taxe sur la restauration et les services fournis?

T = taxe, taux?
R = réservation, restauration (restauration ≠ restoration)
S = services
F = fournis, facturés ?

TRanSFer.

Yes, it seems like an abbreviation for “transfert”.

You didn’t post the whole bill but was there another waiter’s name above the rest of it?

It seems to me that the order for desserts was simply taken by a different waiter on a different machine and it was just transferred to the this one.

It is the whole bill just without the restaurant’s details.

Only other thing on it is Reg Clement 01.09.2024 11:08 00012 Table no. 102 Caisse 1

We arrived just after 12pm and left about 2.30pm iirc.

Unless Reg Clement is a name, there are no names on the bill.

It would be great if you could send an email to
[email protected] and ask to clarify.

Julien apparently runs the place and might shed some light on all of this.

Or I could contact him myself, if you give me permission to use the pic of the bill.

OP, did you pay more than you should have had, in the end? Or everything was OK?
If you remember the items from the menu that you have ordered and can approximate the price, and the total you have payed seems OK…why bother with their basic accounting system. I hope you enjoyed the meal, because it looks like it wasn’t cheap. :wink:

Sure, e-mail him if you want to.

No, didn’t pay more than we should have, was just curious about what that was on the bill.

Yes, it was a lovely meal. Sat outside in the shade and watched the walkers going by. It’s pretty much hidden away so if you didn’t know it was there you’d never believe there was a restaurant down that little road. Everyone was sitting outside, they hadn’t even laid the tables indoors for customers. Only one person was inside, the rest of us were enjoying the nice summer day.

Is it a bill for 2 persons?
(asking for a friend)

There are four dishes for each course so unless they’re greedy and were very hungry I’d say there were four of them.

Yes, 4 of us.

I’m not sure how’s the weather over there, but judging by what we have today I would say it was a good decision to eat outside! Enjoyed the summer while it lasted…

So here’s the answer from Mr Bäriswyl

Oui tout à fait…Clément s’était trompé et avait tipé sur la fausse table…ensuite il a rectifié son erreur en transférant sur la bonne table.

Merci à vous

Belle soirée

Yes, that’s right… Clément had made a mistake and tipped on the wrong table… then he rectified his mistake by transferring to the right table.

Thank you very much

A lovely evening

TRSF = transfer
