Trump hits Switzerland hit with 31% tariffs

The democrats are also an insipid bunch.

‘Insipid’ isn’t looking too bad now though, is it?

Trump appeals to Americans: “Hold on – it won’t be easy”. THats OK coming from a guy with a few billion bucks

Wouldn’t the price increase be for US consumers? As far as Switzerland is concerned its coming from China.

Fun thing is no one’s thinking about a boycott to US beer. No one around here drinks it in first place.

Which US Beer company? They are all based outside the US now except, maybe, Molson-Coors.

That’s the HQ, but plenty of breweries within the US. Anyway, I don’t know what exactly they brew, because it’s not beer

Beer is rarely exported Just the recipes.

All too easy to put the blame on the ones not responsible for the current mess. Its like accusing the raped victim as the guilty party for inciting the rapist.

Well the birds were not feeling so well.

Trump claims a lot of countries want to negotiate over tariffs but he has not stated what he expects.

There are countries with formal 20% tariffs on US imports that show up on his lists with up to 94% tariffs.
Will it be enough for those countries to cancel their 20%, or will he expect them to subsidise US imports?
I don’t see that happening.

His claims of $5 trillion new investments is not supported by the facts, he sounds desperate.

He was cockahoop when Putin presented him with a portrait, and King Charles with an “unprecedented” second state visit so perhaps he can be distracted with shiny stuff and party invitations?

a week-end with the Russians in St. Moritz?

I was keen on seeing details on that

What I don’t understand: The US has such incredible depts. Why is nobody just cancelling those credits? Specially the Chinese?

China owns about 2%. It wouldn’t do much and what would they put their money in? They are already trying to buy as much gold as they can and they need to hold some dollars.

The extortionist

Trump also demanded financial reparations from Europe: “We put a big tariff on Europe.
They are coming to the table; they want to talk, but there’s no talk unless they pay us a lot of money on a yearly basis—not just for the present, but also for the past.”

Trump is having a rough ride.

The White House has canceled a news conference scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET Monday afternoon between President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The White House is threatening China with an additional 50% tariff if they do not cancel their 34% reciprocal tariff and cancelled meetings.

The Japanese Prime Minister is making threats about their investment in the US, which is currently the largest investor.

US stock markets continue down after a brief pause blamed on a fake report of a 90-day pause in tariffs.

And I read the oil price is crashing too, so Putin; Trumpski BFF will be unhappy with this plan too.
