On some guys, it has some effects, decrease in hormonal levels and body trying to deal with it, just like that reaction that Nil mentioned..different symptoms. I remember discussing the same stuff on parenting board and guys there were quite unhappy about their female partners pushing them into giving up their..manhood, as they saw it. I can't comment, but I think if there are side-effect on chicks, there will be on men. I'd be careful with suggestions.
Don't worry Nil, according to the World Health Organization, if you do it "nature's way" and breastfeed you'll only have a baby every two to three years. That's not so bad, is it?
The thing with condoms is that for a married couple who had the kids and want some freedom in the bedroom, it is great to not used them anymore.... Especially when knowing the difference with and without....
I also don't want to have the ''if'' somewhere in the back of my head as ''if'' the condom breaks or ''if'' something else.... That make me think that Oh God! I might be pregnant again.... No thank you! Been there, done that, won't do it again!
My Hubby had a vasectomy done after our second child. We both decided we didn't want anymore children and it was his suggestion that he have a vasectomy. It was done here but it wasn't covered by our insurance it was around 600chf, it was very quick i dropped him off at 2pm and picked him up at 5.30pm. He was back in work after 2 days (albeit abit sore). That was 4 years ago and hes never had any problems
I know lots of guys who have had vascetomies, husbands of good friends, and they've not had many complaints. Not that it means anything since guys are not always forthcoming with symptoms.
I don't know any women with tubal ligation, but it means that in most of the couples I know, the guy decided to be "snipped" because it was the less invasive procedure. Maybe the women were insistent. Whether that's right or wrong, it's up to each couple to judge.
I've heard lots of women complain about the IUD, although I know that they have improved the technology of late. The diaphragm has always been the least risky method (although if not used properly it does have more chance for failure), and it's not very spontaneous, and neither is it a graceful device to insert or remove.
I have friends who are peri-menopausal - near menopause, so forties mostly. They use diaphragms and end up with lots of urinary track infections. As you get closer to menopause, the hormonal decrease thins the skin in your vagina and makes you more suceptible to UTIs, which are totally awful. So something else to consider. Also if you don't take the diaphragm out after a while, you're also at risk of UTI.

yes, men use condoms, but women use the pill, diaphragm, IUD and they have the kid. In a long term stable relationship, it does seem that vascetomy is the least invasive procedure. But it has its risks.
