So, my parents are coming over for a visit for a few weeks (they're in their 60's and 70's). We'll be heading to a holiday house which doesn't have tv, so I'm looking for some ideas of tv shows/series that I can download that we can watch together in the evenings. It needs to entertain the OH (ie. can't be too romantic) but also needs to be suitable to watch with my parents (ie. not too sexy )
Any suggestions?
you don't want to talk to them?
If it's going that way, I take your GoT and raise you a True Blood (seasons 1 and 2)
But talk to them and ask them what they'd like to do or watch is again my suggestion.
very hard to find anything without porn in it nowadays, i wouldn't want to be an actress, you just can't get any work without taking your clothes off.
try primewire.ag , choose tv, sort by ratings
suits was good even if it is about lawyers
walking dead?
common law is cute (bickering male cops hehe)
Hart of Dixie , cute feel good
have a great time
Mad Men ticks all the boxes. Granted, there's some sex here and there, but no nudity.
Plus, it's set at a time your parents are probably familiar with.

My parents (66 and 70) love when I bring them episodes of:
BBC's Sherlock
Person of Interest
Revenge
The Americans
Homeland
I can also recommend:
The Blacklist
The Good Wife
The Following (might be a bit violent though)
IN all seriousness, my oultaws like things like Silk, Line of Duty, Shetland etc. Also think about Call the Midwife, and Downton, naturally.
My own mum is addicted to NCIS and has recently be known to indulge in Bonanza, erm, bonanzas.
How about blackadder? Or fawlty towers. Vicar of dibley? Keeping up appearances?
On the basis of my own relatives then Springwatch, Autumnwatch - basically anything with Kate Humble in it.
Is that a suggestion or a description?
Breaking Bad
Californication
-----------
Ok, seriously now, House of Cards. Quite new and famous.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1856010/
Nice rate on IMDB.
how about, one foot in the grave, 'i don't believe it'
had me laughing through a week long cold, should get anyone through a week with the family.
I make all my visiting relatives watch Die Schweizermacher.
Is that so you don't feel uncomfortable, or so they don't. Remember, they've been having sex far longer than you have been.
...Reminds me of this (from about 1:08)
Anyway - I recommmend:
Sherlock
The Ambassadors
Black Books
Are you my son-in-law?
My parents also like Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, as well as The Paradise, oh and what about Mr Bean?
