Tv

So the kitchen is getting fitted 2nd week of Jan, and the part of the room where the kitchen/island are is 4.5 x 5m, and we've decided we want to wall mount a TV over a buffet unit that is being built on 1 wall. The seating at that end of the island will be be 2-4m from the screen. We don't want a massive great thing as it's just really for watching TV whilst eating at the island, and letting Alexa do her thing for music while cooking etc.

So, I was thinking a +40" Smart TV, but it doesn't need to be a top of the line model really, at that size what make/size of TV's would folks recommend?

You’d get tons of opinions, but having gone through the process relatively recently with some research, I’d suggest you go for an LG OLED C Series. LG is the only OLED panel producer (Samsung started recently, but the other manufacturers are buying panels from LG)The C Series is the same in terms of panel, but has less “bells and whistles” in terms of sound and processor, but for a kitchen secondary TV you don’t really need to pay the premium for these anyway The 48 inch is currently on sale or the 55 inch

Its getting harder to get smaller ones actually and luckily for me, the bigger ones are cheaper and cheaper

Hi, nowadays with the minimal price difference between small and large TVs its not worth it to get anything smaller than 48inches. Also now even the 55 inch ones are not that heavy anymore so wall mounting is not a big job.

I second gaburko‘s recommendation for the LG OLED.

Thank you, I'll check them out, and your right it's just a secondary TV after all.

The wall is stone and 60cm thick so weight isnt an issue. The buffet unit the TV above is either 1.8 or 2.4m, I'll check the plans tomorrow, so just thinking of proportions.
