U2 or E303 --- unemployment benefits from EU country to CH

Dear all,

a distant relative asked me about the possibility of carrying the unemployment benefits from an EU country to Switzerland.

In theory, asking the form E303 in the country of origin should be enough, then move to Switzerland and looking for a job, right?

Any direct experience or legal suggestions from EFers?

No experience but your distant relation should realise that a EU unemployment benefit may be too low to get a permit? Won‘t Swiss ALK payments be based on the EU salary anyway?
