UK Visit visa for swiss spouse

Hello Good Day

I am applying for UK Visit Visa as my wife is a swiss national and I hold C-Permit. UK Govt charged 118 Euro for 6 month visa fee and then connect TLScontact service for biometric verification. Surprising they also show 65.10 Euro User pays fee for UKVI services . Is this normal? I did not select any extra service of TLScontact services. What is UKVI services?

Is the visa for you or your wife, as the subject implies?

Surely a Swiss national does not need a visa for the UK...

No, the OP has Pakistani nationality and does need a visa to visit the UK.

Yes I hold C-Permit and need visa for myself. But question is Uk visa immigration website deduct 118 Euro for visa then why biometric verification service charge extra 65 Euro??

Probably easier for the UK government if everybody pays the local biometric services directly - rather than the UK gov having to be the middle man.

Yes, for up to 6 months a visa is not needed by a Swiss national who’s in the UK as a tourist.

Just been to the Visa give out centre in Zurich (for the Wife who's Swiss, and the Visa is for a extended stay in UK).

Absolute, extreem compliment to the Staff there, the people couldn't have been more profesional, helpful and friendly. Compliments all round.

(by the by, it can take up to six monthe to actualy get the bit of paper!)

Edit: I managed to find a "free" appointment. I just have to pay another EUR 91.34 for "UKVI Services", and the right to upload my own documents. Sticker shock interfered with my colour vision.

I just experienced acute sticker shock looking at the TLScontact charges for a Visa processing appointment.

Before BREXIT, I could get a 6 month UK Visa and an appointment at TLScontact for my wife for free. That category of Visa seems to no longer exist, so this time around I just paid about CHF 130 to UKVI.

Now, on the TLSContact web site, conveniently for them, there seem to be no "normal" appointments before the end of the year, and now appointments start at CHF 140.00.

Running total so far: CHF 270.-

Just got an Email. Visa for Mrs has been granted! It took just over two months, WEEEE HEEEE! (Was told it could take between 4 and 6 months when we applied).

Can't compliment all the office staffers more!
