Anyway, no matter how often I click on this post, it won’t go away
Sometimes, cleaning the cache of the web browser works. So, look for the cookies and other stuff from swissforum.co.uk on the browser cache and delete them.
Current session will be terminated, log in once again and all good.
It has to clear thru the NSA database system and get registered first, before the delete process can be finalized. Have you not noticed that our server is based in the USA?

Clearing the cache did not help
I have the same issue on different browsers, Chromium, MS Edge and Avast, cleared cache, cookies, and everything on all three.
I also closed them and restarted.
Best to be very careful what you post for now on.

I actually searched for that thread. So i thought it was only me..
no it was the cropped tail dogs one. and it also doesn’t go away.

FWIW, it doesn’t show up in my “Unread(x)” tab. Anyway I see we have here some serious readers 
For me the unread list is like who cares 
it could be because there are some posts within the thread that you have not read. if you scroll from the top of the thread downwards, any ‘unread’ posts will have a blue dot on the right, which disappears as you read (linger) over it.
Scrolling down to the bottom of the thread and lingering there might also do it.
Or you can take the nuclear option:
