Using documents translated in DE/AT

Hi guys,

I've recently changed municipalities, and they requested a Birth Certificate ( I'm non-EU ).

Question is, I've lived in Austria before and I have a certified translation from there, do you know if that works here?

Basically, I have the certificate from my country + apostille, and the translation from t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ Austria.

Would I need to get an apostille for the translation in Austria? Or do I need to get a Swiss translator for this?

Why? The certificate will be in German.

Certificate is in Portuguese, the translation is in German but certified in Austria, would it be valid here?

It would be easier to ask the municipality. In Adliswil notarised English translation was sufficiently, even without an apostille. So, it might be enough to have even own translation...

Ask the competent authority. I will add, though, that often they mean "a birth certificate issued within last six months"; your translation might be fine, but you might need to request a new copy of the birth certificate.
