Uzwil : Nearby must visit tourist attractions

Hi, I will be in Uzwil on an official visit this April for a month.Weekends I am planning to Explore Switzerland . Suggest me must visit places In switzerland and neighboring countries like Germany and Austria

Have a look at the website of SBB (sbb.ch), they offer nice day trips.

Apart from that, difficult to say unless you mention what your interests are?

Zürich

Luzern

St. Gallen

Bern

Neuschwanstein

Salzburg

Stein am Rhein

Basel

and all those other nice cities in Switzerland

What are your interests? What's your budget? It's not really easy to give suggestions with no additional info.

One good thing about Switzerland is, its very small, so you can visit almost everything on a weekend trip. Also all nearby countries are easy to reach, it really depends on what you are into it.

April weather can be very changeable, between 5° - 20°

What do you prefer? Nature, Towns.... ?

Prefer nature , would like to know more about countryside life, farm tourism, agriculture , cattle etc.

Not interested in museums. Would like to have a Segway tour in any good city

Countryside life, farm tourism,agriculture...:

The Appenzellerland are about 30-40min from Uzwil by car

Hey OP

You might get more replies if you change your tone a bit. It comes across inpolite and demanding.

Just a tip.

I've been here 7 years and far, very far from having explored everything in Switzerland, so over a week-end?

There is "seeing" (just so that you can post a selfie to your friends with mountains in the background and say: "I've seen Switzerland") and "experiencing". In my view, less is always better.

OP, choose one small destination or two within Switzerland and make the most of it, take your time, explore, watch people. Then come back and visit us for more another time!

...like Geneva!

If it's nature you're interested in, you really can't afford to miss MutaWorld in nearby Flawil.

Established in 1965 by the eccentric Swiss billionaire Alfredo H Igelfricker, MutaWorld is a wondrous assembly of natural marvels, some collected from around the globe and some assembled in the research facility next door, all residing in arcadian contentment amongst the verdant waterfalls and tinkling vegetation of, perhaps, the most unique animal park you've never visited.

Whether you're interested in three faced sheep or reconfigured pegasoids, unicorns or twenty-gallon cattle, you'll be sure to find something to interest, fascinate or horrify you. My personal favourite is the "eierlegende Wollmilchsau", originally bred in the 1950s as the answer to a growing world population's food needs, but soon pensioned off as her breeders couldn't afford to feed her. Now a grand old dame, she sits in her magnificence in the centre of the park, in a specially constructed enclosure. If you ask really nicely, her keepers may let you gently touch her. It's quite the experience!

There are some mountains and castles and stuff around the country, but nowhere quite like MutaWorld. And how many nature parks let you eat the offspring of the animals you've just petted? The restaurant, located at the top of a tree, with jaw-dropping views of the park, serves outstanding food, including halal pork sausages, vegan beefsteak and sentient carrots which may attempt to engage you in a discussion of epistemiology until you silence them with a well-timed stab to the scrotal nodes.

MutaWorld

Is there a place one can watch Port Vale matches?
