Vets open on the 2nd of January zurich region

Hi. Does anyone know of any vets that might be open in the Zurich region on the 2nd of January? It’s not for an emergency. I will be leaving Switzerland on the 3rd and need tapeworm treatment for my dog before arriving back in the UK. Thanks.

Checked with your regular vet? They usually know who’s open when in their area. And there’s probably one on call if needed you might be able to arrange to get them done with.

Sort of a bad choice of day to be leaving though.

I’m actually visiting here from the UK, sorry I forgot to mention that! I will be travelling back through Amsterdam so I will be able to get an appointment there on the 3rd if need be but it would be much preferable to get it here on the 2nd if there’s an option for it.

2 January is not a holiday in canton SZ - so you might try Marigin, in Feusisberg SZ (left side of the lake and up a bit).

I’m not sure if they are open on the 2nd, but tomorrow is a normal working day, so call to see if you can schedule the treatment for the 2 Jan.

You could also try most vets in SZ.

Just saw your last post - do you have a car? You’ll need one to get to Marigin. How far can you travel? And, do you speak German (most of the vets at Marigin speak English, but the telephone staff might not.)

Brilliant thank you! I will contact the vets you advised and hopefully someone might be able to help me out. Yes I have a car so would be no problem with the access.

FYI, in case you haven't yet found a solution: Marigin is open on 2 January.
