It's going to be a closed B permit or an Open B permit with respect to changing jobs?
Based on the website it's 6-8 weeks of waiting for a work permit. What's the average waiting time in recent months.
What is your nationality? A lot, especially the latter question, depends on that

Is there a website with wait times per nationality? I checked other posts in the forum (some that show up on Google search are from 2017!) and checked official websites (SEM?) without success.

I am also a non EU citizen, I received the final approval from Swiss authorities 7 weeks after the application (AWA have requested addition document we did not send at some point within the process), then took me 3 days to get an appointment at the embassy and get the D visa at the same day.
A colleague of mine from the US (I am not) who filed a couple of months before me, got his final approval in 8 weeks.
