[Wanted] Cricket bat

Dear EF'ers

Does anybody here know where one can buy a Cricket bat in Zurich? I searched the forum and found this link ( http://www.discountsports.ch/) as) as a probable place and they deliver it home, has anybody transacted with this site?

If any EF'er is planning to sell or give away a cricket bat, please do let me know.

Thanks for the help

PS

Well, this EF'er bought a set:

Adliswil is around half an hour away from our shop by car. If you can make Bern tomorrow (Swiss20 Cup) or Winterthur (Pickwick Cup) next Sunday the 28th, you can visit our discountsports / Gunn & Moore stand.

Looks like someone wants to emulate the success of the current series Oops - just realised you're Indian, well I guess you fancy you're chances of getting in the team

As bytheseaside has said I bought one of his sets. It was a good offer and everything arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I've had a lot of fun with it since then.

Hi

Yep I know the company. It is run by Simon T (nice fellow) and they sell all sorts of sports equipment as well cricket equipment.

Reputable & recommended!

Has someone upset you?

It's already too late - summer evenings are the best times to find one:

you've been waiting ages to use that one haven't you TiM ?

Does anyone know where I could buy or borrow a cricket bat tomorrow morning.

Short notice I know...

Training with others I would think your best bet is meeting someone there.

All my gear stayed in Oz and my brother has claimed as his own.

I looked at this place and the prices are unbelievably CHEAP. I know a good bat in Oz is going for 400+. Maybe I can export from Switzerland?

I would never buy a cricket bat online. Without feeling the weight/ balance of it how can you ever be sure it will feel right?

PS Sorry I naturally assumed one was being bought for playing "proper" cricket. Of course could just be for backyard, different story.

Yeah actually there's an Aussie bbq going down tomorrow and I thought it would be cool to get some backyard cricket going in the snow.

Below is the Aussie/Kiwi page for facebook.

PM sent to Chrisso.

I figured it out about 5 minutes after I posted it: Looks like BytheSeaside may sort you out. That shop is only 10 minutes from my house and Ive always been a little curious who sells/ buys cricket bats here.

If all else fails make one from two pieces of wood nailed together. Use some tennis racket grip tape around the handle to avoid splinters.

Have fun.

Just to let you guys know, we're holding an Open Day together with the Swiss Cricket Association on Sat. 23.03.2013. Event details can be found on our facebook page here:
