Warning (Epalinges) Lion on the loose

So the bill goes to Epalinges commune?

Thank you for posting this, same question is bugging my mind

Particularly like how the random tape defies depth of field.. loops over the fence.. then magically in again overlapping the second before heading into the distance.

April Fools = A Spoof Lion

Another scary reflection on how a story and develop seemingly including police / helicopters / soldiers ... all onlion... all fake..

"PURR"- date

"The case is closed, the dog was found and handed over to its rightful owner, as "24 Heures" reports. In collaboration with the national dog database Amicus, two dog owners have been identified as owning an animal that looks similar to the one in a photograph taken by a woman in her garden. One missed his dog.

Since no other animal has been sighted for ten days that fits the description of the "big cat", the case is now closed, as the canton veterinarian Giovanni Peduto told the newspaper."

So was not a Lion afterall..

Sequence of events seems to me.... ..

- photo clearly tampered with and maybe whoever did thought it would be taken as April Fools.

- Massive ($$$$$) search operation could have been avoided but on no one actuall looking carefully at fake photo..

- Someone realizes the photo is fake

- Authorities so embarrassed, so make up a story about missing dog that matches description.

- Statement released that identity of dog and owner cannot be revealed.😂😂😂

Great Story in the end.

👍👍👍

And now a wolf spotted..

Conclusive image 🤗😞

And my browser translation of the incident ended with...

He was sniffing around a Robidog trash can. "He didn't run away immediately, which is why we were able to take photos from the car."

Finally, he then leisurely shagged away.
