Have been sending my Aupairs to the this school (WBK) for a few years now and up until now was very happy.. until now. It seems that Aupair was made to sign a paper that she will continue on the next course after her previous, however she is returning back to her country! So she will not be able to attend. Needless to say, I was not involved thus suddenly received a bill for 650sfr! I received a call from the school asking why she didnt attend, and I stated because I didnt sign her up. They replied, she signed a paper that she would attend. Now I am stuck with a bill that I have to pay, or rather the Aupair has to pay, even though she is not attending! After numerous letters to the school, they insisted that the Aupair did not cancel thus she has to pay. I have spent thousands in this school over the last 4 years and was planning to send my other Aupairs there too... NEVER AGAIN! So be warned! IF you have a student in this school, they will make them sign up for free money!
Well, it is normal here that if you don't cancel, your subscription is automatically renewed, though "forcing" her to sign a new contract is a bit off. My guess is that they explained to her what it was in a language she didn't understand very well, and she got herself into this predicament.
I would suggest the following course of action: write calmly (not as you've written here) to the school and tell them that they're welcome to try to bill the au pair in her home country or, alternatively, you would be happy to offer an alternative way to honor the contract by sending your next au pair there in XXX, whenever that happens to be, but that you won't be responsible for any agreement that they've made with the au pair in your absence.
They should see the light.

They are morons. They apathied out of 10k worth of company-paid private lessons... so I went to Allegra (near Stettbach) instead.
