website - borrow a car from a private

www.gomore.ch

I’ve never used it but the concept looks interesting.
Perhaps somebody could find this useful.
You can borrow a car even for a few hours.

If you have better websites you are more than welcome to add them

EDIT: edited URL, now it works

link doesn't work

In the US turo.com exists, I used this once before to rent a particular convertible - concept is indeed analogous to Air BnB.

Worked great for us but I kept it in immaculate condition over 2 weeks - be aware they take detailed photos (>75) before/after suggesting you could be on the hook for even the most minor irregularity

Not sure I would do it again simply because I am sure there are a lot of claims made but it is the US so a bit of the standard MO - on the plus side, cheaper than commercial rental agencies with wider array of car selection

Your link takes me to a domain purchase website so you either have the wrong one or the company’s folded already.

Frankly I’d be worried about the car insurance side of things. Would you be covered to drive something hired like that?

thanks, adjusted....I wrote gohome instead of gomore....

I took a quick look and the insurance seems included. But there could be more details about that.

Regarding the insurance, I noticed this for a couple of cars:

--CUT

The car is insured against comprehensive damage and liability claims as well as in the event of a breakdown via GoMore-Baloise. The deductible for comprehensive and liability insurance is CHF 1,000, which can be reduced to CHF 200 during the booking process.

--END CUT

Used GoMore last year to rent a truck to haul stuff to the dump. No problems.

Looks like an aggregator. I made a quick search around my town and I found cars that I've already seen announced for rent in local garages, mostly subcompacts and vans. Nothing that you cannot find by yourself by walking or riding the bike around town.

I'd say, don't give a single rappen to the middleman and rent directly from local rental place. Come on, is a website really needed for this? I wonder how people can learn that this van is available for rent, how much and how to contact:
