I second this. I have used them for more than 20+ domains the last 10 years or so and without any problems at all.
Extra bonus is that when you sign up from a Swiss IP (or maybe anything but Danish) they subtract almost everything on the invoice for the first year so you can get up and running for less than CHF20 for the full first year incl. server space, domain, setup etc.
Hi all, after a lot of searching, I simply went with the Swiss government's url registration website: www.switchplus.ch , costing 17 chf.
As soon as it's set up, I'll transfer my new domain name to www.34sp.com (my favourite web hosting company - REALLY good at customer support, winning loads of awards in the uk). I didn't buy the url with 34sp as it costs 52 pounds to do so!
Both can register domains with ".ch" and both offer hosting services.
Price comparison:
Hosting per month: 6.70CHF (Metanet 50GB) vs. 2CHF (One 100GB)
Domain per year: 10.75CHF (Metanet) vs. 17.75CHF (One - 3mths for FREE)
Can anyone recommend/advise what should I take a look at while deciding on one or the other? One advantage is that "one.com" supports various languages whereas Metanet is only in German.
Thanks Marton. Indeed the time of response is crucial as I want to set up an online store, so waiting up to 5 seconds for any action can be sometimes a win/lose thing.
