I am looking for some resources to find holiday apartments in Switzerland and throughout Europe. We would typically like a children (and possibly dog) friendly one bedroom unit with a kitchenette type set up. I would also like to know if there is some way to tap into any last minute deals in some of the ski area towns. Thanks for any feedback.
For European capitals, I can recommend the website www.waytostay.com . I've had two good experiences with them so far in Paris and Barcelona.
Try www.interhome.ch they do holiday lets all over CH and also other Countries.
There is a lot of diversity in the hotel branch and a lot of competion.
Try Googling (search using www.google.ch ) for the town or area, plus the phrase "holiday apartment rental"

With kids, I'm a huge fan of renting a house or apartment. We've had great luck with vrbo.com and airbnb.com. Both sites have places to rent posted by the owner. We've met some great people and learned tips from them about where to eat etc. Both are easy to use and are often less expensive than other sites. Also, consider posting your apartment for a swap...wish we had done this right when we moved here: homeexchange.com.

This is the website we have our holidays homes with, but ignore the UK bit, it's just we registered with the UK site as the majority of our guest come from the UK. The site has worldwide coverage and we've holidayed in France, Italy, the US and have just booked an apartment in Thailand for xmas.
