Morning all!

This is a question for all you married ladies out there...

Would any of you ladies be able to tell me whether you can get a hairdresser/make up artist to come to you in the hotel/at home on the day of your wedding or is it customary to go to the salon?

As I nearly always wait til I go home to get my hair cut, I also have no idea about prices for wedding hair styling. Could any of you give me a rough estimate as to what a styling for bride, bride's mum and bridesmaids would cost?

And finally, if any knows of any good hair stylists/make up artists in the Bern/Emmental region, I would be really grateful for recommendations.

Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately I'm definitely going to be getting married in the Emmental area so someone from Zurich would have a pretty long journey. Lausanne is probably a tad too far to go for hair and makeup

But keep the suggestions coming! Ideally I'm looking for someone who is willing to come out to me (and potentially 2 bridesmaids and my mum) as I'll probably be worked up enough as it is without having to think about travelling anywhere in the morning

she did my wedding makeup and also travelled to Lausanne to do my friend's wedding makeup and hair. I know loads of people who get their hair done regularly with Caroline and they all love her. She has since opened her own salon though, so not sure if she would be able to travel, but I'd definitely say it's worth a try!

Thanks Heidi - the website looks really professional. I'm still rather hoping to find someone a bit closer if possible. Ideally I'd like a native English speaker or at least someone with a good understanding of English as one of my bridesmaids doesn't understand any German.
