What dogs give to us

They cost more than a holiday??? Maybe you could just ask some friends? To be fair this was the main issue for which we didn’t get a dog yet, even if (almost) everyone wants one. If we set up a family vote - the “dog people” will definitely win by a large majority… :grinning: but wouldn’t really want that if OH is not onboard. And frankly, I have been thinking a lot about the much wanted dog, and I see a lot of reasons for not getting one (yet) and you just confirmed my own conclusions…

CHF 60/80 per dog per night
:unamused:

What if… it is a small dog?? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Do they have a “tariff” or is it a fixed price…(half)serious question. :smirk:
Just meant to say that it is expensive indeed…

Which region are you in? We’re paying chf 50 per night for our dog’s pension and we are in the La Cote region. It’s at the home of a well regarded dog trainer in the area…sometimes she comes back with better behavior than when she left.

Price depends on the size of the dog, but the cheapest (in a kennel) starts at 55-60.- for a small dog… I have two, which means 100.-/night minimum…

My eldest pouch is now too old for the stress of a kennel, and it’s getting very difficult to find a solution. For my next trip, my eldest son is staying home to take care of them…

I’m looking for a family who’d like to swap dog sitting with me, but that’s really difficult to find.

We had a couple of friends who would look after our dogs and in return we would take theirs.
But they got old and died, damned inconvenient!
The friends, not the dogs.

did someone ever used the trustedhousesitter in Switzerland? my friend uses this regulary in New York (people come and sit her cats when she is away), so would be interested if someone has the experience with it here.
