Is "poivre de la Jamaique" the equivalent?
Yes it is although I've seen it more often called piment de jamaique in French.
They have it in the fine foods range at coop.
Or just 'piment'.

Whole berries are 6-7mm in diameter or so.

And allspice in German is Piment or also Nelkenpfeffer. Noob
