SwissForum eTax is software which converts an IBKR report into a format you can upload to your tax return software. If you don’t need to file Swiss tax returns and don’t have an IBKR account, you do not need this software!

As IBKR doesn’t provide an electronic tax statement for you, you need to type in all your transactions to do your tax return. This process is slow and error-prone.

What this software does is to take an IBKR report that you download from IBKR and converts it into a special PDF with the transaction data embedded. This PDF can then be uploaded when you do your tax return to save you from typing out the transactions manually.

The underlying software is open source and available here:

You can download and run this software on your own computer, but since the software is complex and tricky to install, this web page has been created to do the conversion with the software without you having to install it on your own computer.

The software is in testing/development phase (not ready to send to the tax authorities yet!) and ultimately, I hope to be able to package this up in a way that can be easily installed on your own computer.

Hi Phil, tried it out but got completely different numbers than from datalevel.

I’ll give you my data for testing if you want. I think as a new user I cannot send PM or can I?
