A couple of weeks ago, I bought a pair of own brand, memory foam, 'Ergonimishes kissen' from Conforama, that were CHF 45- for a pair in the Black Friday sale. Best part of them is, they have a notch on the edge to accomodate your shoulder if you're a side sleeper, which I am. I wrenched my neck a couple of months ago, so these have been perfect, and they're a damned sight cheaper than the chiropractor.
I've been sleeping on a millet pillow for years now. They are sold as Hirsekissen - I get mine at Globus - cost about Fr.25.00- You also need pillowcases of the same size.
After about a year they need to be replaced so I simply slit them open and empty the millet into the green container.
After a lot of trouble with my neck these pillows solved the problem in a very simple way as I always lie perfectly snuggled into this piece of nature.
I got mine from Lidl, their sale for those pillows comes around about twice a year. Fitting pillow covers are sold then too. I can't remember anymore, but teh Pillo costs between 15 -20.- Chf
Mine is about 1m50cm long and 40cm circumference and I wouldn't want to be without it anymore.
but due to the low height of the pillow, if I sleep on my side (shoulder planted on bed) my head and neck would be tilted downwards. So, I am thinking this might be uncomfortable, unless I buy two and stack them together. Does it make sense what I am saying?
It makes sense, but it does come as a twin pack, so you have that option. Personally, I'm looking at the post by FCBarca and thinking it looks like a great option.
