Hey everyone, I am starting a new job in May in Geneva...i am looking for really basic studio as big as from 20square m where I can lay my head at night and allow pet...so i am open to small more regional flat/studio/flatshare...
I am looking at several website like homegate and glocals...despite the surprising limited amount of flat/flatshare in supply in Geneva and around, I am also puzzled by the price range...for example, studios located just 5 minutes next to each other can range from 1100 CHF to 2600 CHF pcm(and on pictures the conditions both look okish), and flatshare is not necessarily cheap either (range from 800 CHF for weekday only to 1450 CHF for the whole package)..
My initial budget was around 800-900 CHF for flatshare, and 1500CHF top for studio...what are you guys' thought of price range over flatshare and small studio in Geneva? any idea welcomed! Many thanks!
The prices you quote sound realistic based on the housing shortage.
Make sure you compare like-with-like. Some studios are furnished, others not. Often houseshares include 'charges' like heat/electric, whereas studios are often advertised without charges. These often make a difference. Also, some have been renovated recently, others not. Location is also important, ie. desirable area, above busy street, balcony or not, etc.
I think you should find something in the lowe end of your range. Good luck
What sort of pet have you got in mind? That might make your search a lot more difficult.
maybe he/she meant petting
