By the way do you understand, hindi/ urdu/ punjabi?

I am only fluent in keema samosa, kheeray ka raita, dhania chutney, dhuli maash ki daal, gobi gajar, machli ka saalan, and keema alu!

haaahaaaaaaaa, that is cool, I love all these especially Keema samosa. Are you fluent in eating or cooking? I am fluent in eating and little bit of cooking

Both! But I have to admit...I cheat when I make samosas. I use store-bought Kuchenteig instead of making the dough myself! They still rock, though!

Isee, I tried few times and I had problem in shapping the dough and then filling. Difficult to keep the shap after filling and sometimes if I was successful, it opened during frying. Samosas, I made were bit hard and dry. Now, I buy ready made frozen Samosa,s from a store and just heat them in oven, only problem is, available samosas are only vegetarian (big problem as i love keema samosa).

Tried again and nope!

I'll have to stick to buying the CD's that my oriental dance instructor makes for us!

Solid steel podcasts.

http://www.ninjatune.net/solidsteel/

They also have the latest full mix at the site above and a radio station in switzerland broadcasts it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid_Steel

It's all about the beat broadness.

Now podoff!

I'm back to my Radio Free Abattoir / Slaghuis on-line.

Goth, a tad cheesy but perhaps I'm just an old fart and 80's Goth wasn't really better...

Just a general post to see what cds everyone is listening too at the moment. Am always interested in broadening my music horizons and on the lookout for new bands. Maybe it would be a good idea to post the music we are curently into?

I'm loving the new Shin's album (even better than chutes too narrow). Also:

Writer's block - Peter, Bjorn and John

The trials of Van Occupanther - Midlake

Freedom fields - Seth Lakeman

The good, the bad and the queen

Really looking forward to Neon bible by Arcade Fire. So what music is setting your world alight??

A French rapper named Diam's and just yesterday I got lent a CD by a Swiss, Jem! Long live sexy women!

T-Bone Walker & Dizzy Gillespie

All music today is tuneless rubbish

Dave

Milburn! What You Could have Won!

Kind of an Arctic Monkey's clone.

Bit of a blues man myself - deffo Albert King Killing Floor (anything stax really though) Rob Cray and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Just love 'In Step'... know of any blues joints in Zurich ?

Hmmmmmm

This week I am mostly listening to...

David Ford

Rufus Wainwright

Nerina Pallot

mainly coz haven't joined the i-pod ranks yet and they are the only cd's I brought with me from UK!

Am off to see Duke's Special on March 23rd at Mascotte.

Was very sad to see Beautiful South have split as saw them in Sheffield last Dec was their last ever UK gig. I did hear the rumours then that they were gonna annouce the split that night. They played a rather unusual set list (some very old material) but no mention of breaking up

Didn't realise Duke Special were playing, i checked all CH concerts on ticket corner just yesterday but didn't see it advertised??

Will have to have another look

the new Arcade Fire album for me, Neon Bible.

Hey, nice to see a few Blues fans here! Good on ya Grant Green and DaveA

I'm currently into to a bit of JJ Cale (sublime new album with Eric Clapton) and early Ry Cooder, with the Allman Bros. Band thrown in for good measure ...

I agree with DaveA, most music today deserves to be 'd on
