What music are you listening to now?

Prefab Sprouts classic...Steve McQueen (Legacy Edition Re-Issue)

Brings back many a happy memory. . . .

Well, I'm on hold, so it's obviously Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'. I just wish it was 'Autumn', not bloody 'Winter' each time...

Never seen him live, but still keep an eye out. He has an excellent dj mix cd in the Solid Steel series that keeps getting a play on my iPod.

well Keep it solid steel is a great album but also Keep It Unreal, Trouser Jazz is ok, not as good as the others.

Ok to give you all a tip of some really good albums (in my opinion).

There are a series of albums called "Sampled Vol." then the number it goes to Vol. 4

They are basically albums of the original songs which have been sampled and used in recent years to make great/top songs!

Here a few examples...

Chase the Devl (prodigy out of space) max romeo and the upsetters

It's Ecstacy when you lay down next to me (robbie williams-rock dj) barry white

The Magic number (de la soul) Bob Dorough

Take yo praise (fatboy slim -praise you) Camille Yarbrough

what i am (emma bunton - what i am) edie brickell & new bohemians

Just a few but there are great albums, check the out!

He also did another compilation worth checking out, called Heavy Weight Rib-Ticklers.

Crappy work computers, will view that youtube video when I get home this evening.

As usual, sean-nós (traditional Irish singing - NOT your rebel songs, pub songs, whack-fol-the-daddy-o, etc. This is an older style, and unaccompanied. Puts some people in mind of plainchant, but rougher around the edges.) Anyway, I love the stuff.

Right now I'm listening to Peadar Ó Ceannabháin, "Mo Chuid den tSaol."

I also listen to a fair bit of classical - Baroque period mostly. This morning it was a couple of Bach organ sonatas, transcribed for flute and harpsichord.

It is exactly this why I refuse to buy her CD (no matter how good it is) until she starts to take care of herself. I will not pay for the next spoon of smack!

Hopefully she will have a near-death experience that will wake her up to what she's doing to herself.

Until then, I try to listen to "clean" girls!

The Enemy's album 'Had enough'.

One of their songs talks about being sick of working just to be retired - which is the story of the band; a bunch of friends who started a band because they hated their work... and 18 months later they had the UK no. 1 album!

The sound of the photocopier outside my office.

I've had Electrelane's last album 'No Shouts No Calls' on repeat for a couple of weeks.
