what s worst thing about Switzerland ?

what s worst thing about this country , Some one told me perhaps this country is most boring country in the whole of Europe.. i believe is ok for ppl around 60 to 80 , but for young age it aint good!

so what do you think?

i know im going to get a groin or two but the cost of baked beans .

The worst thing about Switzerland is plebs with an IQ lower than your average broccoli floret joining ex-pat discussion forums to moan about it incessantly, while contributing nothing to any other part of the forum.

You made the mistake of moving to one of the quietest parts of Switzerland. It's like moving to Eastbourne in the UK and then moaning about how boring the whole country is. Either move to Zurich as suggested where it's busier and more fun, or plase stfu and leave to Poland where "dey will dig da abs, not like deez swiss gurlz mang".

Their school system. Everything else I can adapt to and often find rather charming. But the school system I will never accept.

The beer is mostly very bad but with exceptions. Ueli beer in Basel is good if you go to the right places and have a lucky day.

i find switzerland as a whole fantastic , outdoor life is great ....loads to do and if you have kids its great to . ok there are always some things that everyone are going to complain about . cost of living , swiss mentality , schooling , speed cameras ( just been done again ) but as a place to live its great .....but theres no point in coming here if you dont like going out .

there no where in norfolk, England where im from ,that has the views i have ,drinking coffee at 6am and watching the sun rise over the mountains...pure bliss , then i have to work

Whining expats

I believe the OP is a student.

- people staring at you on public transport for no apparent reason

- well hidden racism

- school system (if you can afford private schools then it's different)

- shops in general, everything is way too expensive

- lack of customer service anywhere you go

- people pushing in front of you, no one seems to be able to form a queue

- being bullied at work because you are better than your Swiss colleagues

- it is hard to make real friends here, almost impossible really

- lack of dress sense in general

- lack of care for older people, most of them end up lonely

Well that was a very random collection, nevertheless I am sure I must have forgotten something!

He's still an ex-pat.

Seriously, give it a break. Your series of posts complaining about Switzerland and idolizing Poland are neither welcome nor accurate. I know Poland very well, and would never say the grass is greener there. Life here is different for sure, but by almost any measure is superior and of a higher standard. Please try and relax, stop idolizing life back home, and enjoy your time in this wonderful country.

OP, you must be hanging around with the wrong people. I'll take you out and you'll wake up feeling 60 to 80

Are you American? cause thats pretty much the differences you described....

If you are , well we Europeans are a very different breed than our oversees neighbors. We've had a few more years to grow some skin i'd say.

What I dont like about Switzerland is that time seems to have stopped in the 90's but is picking up again now. But even that has it's charm.

I think this was the related thread wrt to Poland.

public transport e.g. not having night trains every day.

Jaro, please go and read the OP's previous posts before you give yourself a hernia.

Read a few posts above yours. The OP seems to be set that Poland is MUCH better than here. hence the ref against the OP not Poland....

yeah saw it and deleted my post...Richdog responded way too nice

what specifically?

(this is a totally honest question, i am not trying to pick a fight)

Poland? Dreadful place, full of aggressive drunks and lunatic priests.

They should give it back to Lithuania - now they're a proper noble people, they are.

Isn't it?
