Edit - got interested to see if this stuff is still around it is - read the comments. A good ersatz for evilshells's vinegear.
In the good old days the bottle used to hold about 300ml (didn't have to go to the bog for refills so often) in a really handy format that would fit into a school blazer and the spout was perfectly formed for hitting any target with pin point precision at 10 feet. Along with a bic biro and a packet of long-grained rice, the weapons of choice for any self-respecting schoolboy.
Rise your hair with vinegar once every month or two after shampooing, and then condition it. The vinegar removes all of the deposits and other gunk that sits on your hair, leaving it much smoother and cleaner.
I was using Herbal Essences when I was in Canada. It is really a good shampoo but I didnt find it here. Now I have switched to Garnier, they claim it is made of natural products so give it a try, I always had the same problem like yours and have tried many things, even washing them with eggs and yogurts (which really works).
I use Herbal Essence shampoo (contains oatmeal) and Garnier's conditioner. But on the occasions that I run out of HE shampoo, I use Johnsons baby shampoo. (Sensitive scalp!)
Actually it is worth having a look at the for men products. They are sometimes way cheaper, smell nice and have the hair & body combination, 2 in 1, great !!! The Kneipp one for example, really lovely
I have started using System Professional by Wella i bought it from my hairdresser it is expensive 24frcs for the shampoo and 33frcs for the conditioner, but worth every penny and smells yummy aswell
I have typical fine nordic hair which needs to be washed often. supermarket shampoos are unfortunately not suitable for me and i have tried loads and loads of salon stuff.
Now, it is true that water here is quite hard, so taking into account that and also if you like to use different styling products, you should use a deep cleansing shampoo every now and then. I can recommend Redken Cleaninsg cream, but there are or course many others available. Note, this type of shampoos are not suitable for everyday use.
If your hair feels brittle and hard, an excellent one is Redken All Soft. You can really feel the difference, I promise.
If it gets try and damaged, especially in the winter, try Kerastase Nutritive Bain Satin 3. The nutritive series also has nourishing hair masks to choose from, depending if you have fine or thick hair. Very nourishing and they have. If you have trouble with your curls, I have heard many good things about the Kerastase Oleo-Relax and Oleo-Curl series.
Some others - L'oreal Professionel is not bad either and cheaper than Kerastase. I have found Frederik Fekkai, quite pricy brand, quite disappointing though and also the Tigi Bed Head range did not do anything for me, not Aveda either. Joico was quite good.
But if you really really want the best thing there is, try Alterna TEN. I swear my hair was even growing faster when I was using this one. It is very nourishing though so if you use it over a longer period of time, hair might even feel a bit "over-fed". Will buy it again soon, just keeping an eye out for sales, as it is definitely not cheap.
Oh, and all those shampoos, conditioners and masks can be bought from
Hi everybody! I am new here. Actually came to practice a little bit my english. and now i found this post. i think it's really funny, because I am really excited about my new hair shampoo from Rausch.. Anyways so I wanted to ask if anyone of you has already tried the "Weizenkeim-Spray" they offer. Because my hair is a little dry and I saw it the other day in the store... Do you know it? Do it helps?
About a month ago I read an article which suggested putting conditioner on before the shampoo for shiny, manageable hair. I tried it and haven't looked back.
I mix a few drops of tea tree oil with my shampoo to clear up the scalp. I get it from just.ch. That way I don't need to buy special shampoo and only use it when I need it.
Hey! You know what I just found?! hahahahaha you might remember how excited I was about the new "shampoo-brand" I have found? well anyways so since I like it so much I did some research and I found a company that is offering product testing.. FOR FREE (i am really excited already about that :P )
anyways.. but I only found their website because currently they are having a campaign with Rausch (my favorite brand - we remember!?) uhuuhuu I am really excited right now
