Change your walk with Fido and you'll find 'em. I know where are all those stinky bins are in my 'hood. I just wish "the girlfriends" did too.
They look like this:

If you don't see any on your normal walk - which would be odd, as they really are everywhere, ask your local Gemeindehaus for a map. Seriously - when one registers one's dog (you have registered with ANIS and your Gemeinde, haven't you?) our Gemeinde gives out a map showing where all Robidogs are located, along with a roll of bags - so no excuse for not picking up!
When I clean up the garden, I just put it all in a larger sack and take that along on the morning's walk to be dropped off at the first Robidog - which is about 5 minutes from our house. Easy-peasy.

Totally off topic, but...
Browsing through the Robidog website, I came across this little gem:
http://www.robidog.ch/de/Produkte/Sonderdruck.php
"Robidog bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, die Vorzüge Ihrer Gemeinde oder Stadt auf besondere Weise hervorzuheben. Mit individuell nach Ihrer Vorstellung gestalteten Hundekot-Säckchen ist Ihnen die Aufmerksamkeit gewiss. Nutzen Sie die Möglichkeit, nicht nur die Einwohner, sonder speziell auch Touristen auf die Besonderheiten Ihres Ortes hinzuweisen."
Apparently Robisacks can be individually printed, say with the Gemeinde logo or similar, recommended to impress not only locals but also tourists . Oh yes, that's exactly how I would advertise the wonders of our little town - on poo bags. Dear doG - clearly I am out of step with the Swiss marketing Zeitgeist.
Back on topic...
Welcome to Switzerland & welcome to the forum.
Here in our neck of the woods we have these things for the dog's "goodies":
You can find them in town and in the forests. Little bags are provided for disposal, located on one/both sides of the container. The cost to use them is covered by your yearly payment in your local municipality. You are entitled to use the robidogs all over the country. You need to register your dog in your local community, too. Here in Gebenstorf we are given a roll/package of bags when requiered so as to always have them on hand.
Unfortunately there will be times you can't find a robidog when you need one.... in these cases you either carry it with you until you do, or discretly drop it off in the nearest trash bin.
I hope this helps!
As with everything in Switzerland, though, YMMV. Check for the exact rule in your Gemeinde, Sue.
Does someone go around and collect them? Otherwise all they are doing it making sure it wont ever degrade into the soil
I can see this leading to a statement, something like this, "The Robbie Dog bins in our town are only for the use of the people that live in our town and have paid dog tax in our town, and are using our Robbie bags ... "
I enjoy the YUGH look on visitors faces, especially if we`re having a bbq in garden, when I say "She keeps the bag in the freezer for the week".
