Thanks!
My kids had a fantastic time at The Zigermeet airshow in Mollis this past summer. It is too far from Geneva to be day trip. I will appreciate some suggestions for kid friendly activities in Canton Glarus or along the Southern coast of Lake Zurich so I can make a 3-4 day trip it of it.
Alpemare , water park is good for both and good weather.

What sort of age are they? Are they sporty? Are they into things like wildlife or industrial history?

I love a good portion of etymological fallacy with my fried eggs on a Sunday.
The Klöntalersee is very scenic and the Schwammhöhe restaurant is child-friendly, with amazing views of the lake and located in a foresty area that kids can play in.
Be careful promoting Läderach. The wokes on the forum will not like it.

However, Lindt is also an option, Kilchbert (as OP mentioned along lake Zurich is okay too). Swiss Chocolate adventure?
Or you could even book a 2 hour course and produce your own truffes and pralinés (that sounds pretty cool, no? And is not too long for children to keep their attention on it).
The ones who live in Glarus will be happy, though.
In summertime the Kinderzoo in Rapperswil is a nice outing. And the old part of Rapperswil and the castle are beautiful. Can easily be combined with the zoo. Also you can take a journey with a ship on Obersee from Rapperswil.
