Ok now that I got your attention. In England in my university days I remember taking an over the counter drug that allowed me to stay awake at night and meet deadlines. I have completely forgotten the name. Is there a Swiss equivalent of that drug? Although I am nocturnal I could still do with occasional help during tight deadlines. So what legal drug can I use and what is it called?
That site says one pill of your drug only has 50 mg of caffeine, but look at this:
"In general, one serving of coffee ranges from 40 milligrams, for a single shot (30 milliliters) of arabica -variety espresso , to about 100 milligrams for strong drip coffee." (Wikipedia).
The other ingredients in your pill are just fillers so you would get more 'drug' from strong coffee or a red bull (80mg).
You need brain food to make tight deadlines as well as being awake; I'd suggest oily fish to lubricate those brain cells
In pharmacies in Switzerland you can get Pills ( kautabletten) called
HALLO WACH and a drink of the same name ( similar to red bull) which is the equivalent of 22 cups of coffee............. if that doesn't keep you awake i don't know what would LOL
LOL same here, more or less, but when u worked as a nurse in hospital and did lotsa night shifts, and got a house to run and back then a kid to look after as well, then you love the benefit of an occasional pill like that, helping you to keep going.
i think if this is used only in cases like that ( shift work, hours of learning for exams etc) and not a regular basis then it's perfectly safe!
Go to the pharmacy and ask for ephedrine HCl for your asthma. It may no longer be legal in CH, if it ever was but it's worth a try.If they don't carry that, ask them for Ma Huang, the plant that contains ephedrine. For your asthma. Or sinus. I think CH is more friendly towards alternative meds than North America.
I thought ephradrine was the stuff that was used in dodgy diet pills and was banned in the UK, it has the same symptoms as amphetamine!! (so i am told )
ephedrine is just a vasodilator so it's good for people with allergies and so forth. Of course, some misuse it as it prompts Fight/flight but it is not that hardcore of a substance. Ephedra is herbal and pseudoephedrine is not and I think either can be used as a precursor to some nastier compounds.
JamaicanRUM's "university" remark made me think of it.
