Where can I buy new 160cm X 180cm bed?

Space is limited so I need 160cm wide and 180cm long bed. All IKEA and Interio beds are 200cm long. Obviously I will need matching mattress too. Any idea?

Top Tip, Conforama, Migros?

The sell fugly stuff though. Conforama's quality is so bad that I might as well leave my money there along with the new bed. Chip board Mecca.

All Conforama beds seem to be 200cm long too.

Do you have a saw?

Yes a brand new one. Do I saw the mattress too?

If you don't mind sleeping in the fetal position here's one that's 10cm under your 180cm maximum length restriction.

Mòˆbel Pfister is a bit on the pricey side but they might stock a wider variety of beds of different sizes.

They also do very good sofa beds which are just as comfy as normal beds and are often of smaller dimensions (we bought one from there which my mum slept on for two weeks without complaining) so you might find something half decent that way.

I can find you a 140x190 - but at a price (they're orthopaedic - but sponge and bendy and squashy):

You can also plough through over 2700 entries for beds and mattresses yourself to look - the e.g. above was only on the 1st page:

I don't think I've ever come across a 180 long one anyway - 190 or 200 (or longer).

Would it fit if you get the boxspring type Ikea bed (without head and foot board, gives you about 7-8 cm extra) or is the room 1.80?

Almost impossible to fine one that size here but you know that already!! The frame can be made easily, what I would suggest is to use two kids matress' 160cms long and search for one that is 90cm wide, 70 and 80 wide are easy to find but 90 is a bit of work, probably available in the UK. Or rotate the bed and go for 140 x 200 which is a standard size here.

Get a fouton, put it on the floor

Anything is possible ...... at a price - delivery, duty, etc.

If the bed is for yourself and you want a real quality memory mattress (like Tempur) then try this UK company www.ergoflex.co.uk;

They can make any size of mattress.

I did get quotes from them for shipping to Switzerland in the past and don't forget you get the VAT back at 20% and pay 7.6% Swiss VAT.

The Swiss mattresses are generally foam rubbish and certainly expensive for what they are.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We decided to go with 200cm and change the room layout instead.
