Hi, I am going to start a Photography course in October and am looking to buy a new camera, i am swaying towards SLR's but have never used one does anyone have any suggestions on where i can go to look at one? I dont know where to start here!! (Zurich)

Definitely get an SLR! They're addictive and fabulous.

For your first camera for serious photography, you prob want an entry level DSLR (Canon 500D, Nikon D5000, Olympus E-620, ... ) or a high-end compact (Panasonic Lumix DMC LX-3, Canon G10, ...).
I find

Digi tech is probably the cheapest place around for a camera, and equipemt. But check it out on topreise first.
As for classes , I offer a one on one on location class , or you could just join our photoclub, and come out on the meetings. We hold them approx every 3 weeks, and all are welcome , no matter what camera you have
