Where to buy a double stroller for twins?

Hi, I am looking to buy a double stroller as a gift for my friend who had twins recently. Which shop would you recommend for it? Also, what price range would I be looking at? Any tips welcome! Thanks.

Hi, if you can, go to Germany to purchase a stroller eg. Baby Walz or Babyone. We paid around EUR800 for our twin pram in Germany (which was around CHF1'500 to purchase in CH). But you should be able to pick up a stroller for around EUR200-300 if you just want a basic one.

I am too far from Germany..and I need it pretty quick...but CHF 1500

I am looking to buy it around Lausanne..any recommendations for shops?

These are the only 2 stores I can think of (off the top of my head):

http://www.autourdebebe.ch/home Autour de bébé in Etoy right near Ikea in Aubonne

http://www.babyzou.ch/ Babyzou near Epalinges

They have prices on their websites as well.

We bought one at a Migros as some of the big Migros stores have a range of baby strollers. Sorry, I don't know about the Migros stores in your region.

There is a toys r rus in Ecublens which have a large baby section with many buggies to choose im not of the price but you may be able see online it would all depend on what you are going to choose and accessories etc. There is a baby shop in pontarlier which is about 50 mins away which has baby strollers in http://www.popartclassic.eu/en/Espac...CEDEX,420,city gives you his number to call and ask what stock he has or can order if you know which you like... inside there are some lovely wooden toys and baby furniture. It may work out cheaper.

In your Quarter probably there is some Center for kids and adults and they have second hand sales during the whole year. Try there.

Or try to buy it on line from the BebeHaus Wehrli, this is the one of the best Swiss store for baby and kids stuff.... http://www.babyhaus.ch/

Good luck!

I don't know how much you are willing to pay for your stroller but I would highly suggest the very versitile Chariot. Okay, it is sold as a bicycle stroller, but you can really use it for everything. We have the CX2 (fits 2) Also if you ever plan to sell it, you will get almost as much moeny as you paid for it on places like ricardo.ch

Thanks for all the recommendations, I shall check it out...

if you've got a stroller in mind, you could check out www.toppreise.ch . it shows you the best offer for the item you are looking for.

That's the price for supporting the Swiss economy, the paradise we all came to enjoy.

Otherwise, google poussette+Evian.

Whether she likes it or not I would rather hope she's found one by now as the twins were born in 2012.

At almost three they'll not be needing a stroller much these days.

Did you not see the date of the OP?

Who cares about the OP. It's an internet forum, what counts is the pun, nothing else.

That was a pun? Really?

Thread was revived by a spammer.

I know, I reported them hence my comment to Faltrad.

If you don't get the irony of advocating Swiss high prices when half of the country is abroad for shopping indirectly undermining the reason why expats found work in Switzerland in the first place, find another word for it. But I do think it was the right place and time to make a point about said irony.

Otherwise, let's just talk about chocolate. We agree that belgian pralines are better than the Swiss ones.
