As k and e mentioned, electronics stores here, such as Fust and Mediamarkt, don't usually sell lamps. For that, you usually have to go to a furniture store or shop online.
Thanks for both of your replies. Now I know that lamp is not considered electronics but furniture. This is quite different when compared to Asian countries, where we normally buy lamps in electronics stores.
my humble "theory"... since art nouveau, modernism, and all those art and design movements lamps have been a very good medium for craftsmanship and design thus they're put together with the other designer furnitures, you could get fancy lamp shades without the bulb and in the furniture store you get to see if the tiffany glass matches your table.
Feeling your pain, was hunting them down too and found lights and lamps at lampenwelt.ch they have everything fron ceiling lights, wall lights, floor lamps, bulbs and cables etc. Delivered to your door, but no installation. Most shops dont offer electric work/installation of lights btw, you gotta find a handyman/electric or be brave enough to do it yourself. Or opt for a plug and shine lighting solution...
