The UK removers we’ve approached just tell us to buy packing materials locally in Switzerland. We’d be very grateful if anyone can suggest how we can go about this. We can collect stuff up to about 30km of Interlaken if necessary.
Apart from crockery and glassware we want to pack our belongings ourselves as we are leaving most of our furniture behind. We need some large boxes as we have a fair amount of personal stuff to move.

Coop Bau &Hobby or Ikea got different sizes for sale aswell
Unless you are packing duvets and lighter, bulky clothing, that box size is too large - there's a reason why you can't get bigger boxes - when they are full of stuff they are dangerous to lift.
The exception is the larger "wardrobe" boxes.
Get proper moving boxes which are double-walled cardboard. You can sell them when you are finished with them.
We got our last lot from here . They deliver and also sell tape and packing paper too.
For duvets, pillows and clothing, get vacuum bags to reduce the volume. Migros,Coop, Ikea, etc.
Hornbach and OBI have wardrobe boxes . Be careful of the weight! They are for clothes or high cube / lower weight items.

Many thanks to everyone for their very useful replies. We went to Coop Bau und Hobby today for something else and found a range of good strong boxes on offer.
The largest ones are 40x40x60 cm and are well made. We’ve done a ‘click & collect’ for some more.
We only need a few large ones for bedding and some clothes and don’t like wardrobe boxes. Discovered Coop Bau und Hobby had a good range of boxes from 40x40x60 cm to smaller sizes on special offer today. We now have almost all the boxes we need with no delivery charges.
